A different kind of futuristic fashion shoot

The future is not space- ships and hover cars, it’s a world where we take care of each other and the Earth.

This is a fashion shoot about clothing, sustainability, utopia, and working together.

Our vision of the future looks like this:

the models are diverse, androgynous. The clothing nods to the vintage and feminine forms of the past (tulle, gowns, lace), while the makeup nods to old ideas about the future (metallics, bold lines, glow). The hair is either cut short, or free and wavy, maybe pulled back for ease.

Shot on medium format film. The photography is deliberate. Poses are confident and still, except when there is a moment of joy, excess, strength.

When posed together there is a feeling of cooperation.

Angeles Crest Creamery is a an experiment in sustainable dairy and meat in the mountains outside of Los Angeles. There are no cows, the dairy comes from goats. The  goats forage the chaparral for large parts of the year helping to regenerate the land and create a much needed water shed in the area.  These film images were shot on location as a case study for the shoot.
